Have you ever heard of the locust pose or shalabhasana in yoga? It strengthens your muscles.
However, you should be careful when doing it. Consult your doctor before you try this or any other similar posture, as it may worsen your back pain.
How to do it?
All you have to do is lie on your stomach, and transfer your total body weight on your abdomen. This means that your head, chest, arms and legs should be elevated. Keep your legs hip-width apart, and have your arms parallel to the ground with the palms faced upwards.
Hold in this position for 10-60 seconds, and do 5-10 repetitions.
The locust pose is great for your body posture and muscles. Your core will be a lot stronger, and you’ll be surprised of its effect on your legs and back.
